About the project

speak your mind is about encouraging creative self-expression, the sharing of thoughts and stories, as well as meaningful interaction with peers and the community amongst children with special needs.

We hope to develop digital tools for alternative communication and expression for this community. We created this site to share the prototypes we have created and other resources we have found that might be helpful to anyone in this community and beyond. Speak your Mind was supported by the National Arts Council as part of the Arts x Tech Lab 2021, an initiative that empowers innovation, experimentation and collaboration between arts and technology. For more information, please visit Arts x Tech Lab 2021

We aim to update this site to share any future prototypes, as well as continue to expand on the list of resources.
